"Many students have naturally athletic skills and with even fair attentiveness can achieve a certain proficiency in martial arts. Those who choose to work hard and be diligent in attention to instructors will benefit much more. I would rather teach a student who gives 100% effort with less natural skill than an arrogant "athlete" who thinks he "already knows it all".
